If you can guess, I've been studying patterns in nature, and how they can be used in permaculture. For example, a spiral is a useful way to compact a lot into a tight space. So, if you have a tiny backyard in an urban setting, you can increase your growing surface by making an herb spiral.

  1. Wow very beautiful pictures! Spirals have always spiritually opened my heart and stimulated my mind. Especially when learning about the Pi golden mean manifesting in nature as the Fibonacci Spiral that you're displaying so beautifully in the pictures. I like learning about the practical use for spirals that you mentioned for garden efficiency and also look forward to hearing about other aspects of permaculture that can be helped by embracing spirals.
