Ringbalin - Breaking the Drought

Congrats all for coming out the other end of this semester--hope we all
achieved great things and are on to achieve more great things.

I came across this trailer for a documentary I really want to see, it falls right into my work for the semester!

Hi Braindance 5!  Thanks for posting the beautiful pictures and songs.  I'm enjoying spring fever with gardening and qigong practices outdoors.  I love that the beach is nearby.

Thanks for your encouragement and inspiring ideas during our meeting times.

I thought you might like this ^

Here's one of the poems I shared at residency put to music...I thought it might be interesting for you to see how it evolved into a song from a poem.

(Song)

A Ghost is among us

To tell the truth,
a ghost is among us.
This white love
comes from the darkness.

You become real
and I can barely see.
You're taking shape
to my naked eye.

A broken hour leaves
it's moments scattered.
You've given to me
something that I needed.

I see you now
plunging in your water.
Your eyes holding light
at the very beginning.

Like getting lost
in a breaking wave,
I can only hope
you'll be there again.

(Poem)

To tell the truth

A ghost is upon us.
This white love
coming from
darkness.

Becoming real.
Only barely
visible to my
naked eye.

A broken hour
leaves it’s
moments
scattered.

You have given
something to me
I didn’t know I needed.

I can’t describe
my loss of time
in this brief,
brief dance.

I see you now
plunging
into your water.

Your eyes
holding light
at the very beginning
of night.

Like getting lost
in a breaking wave
I can only hope
you will be there
when I emerge

It's always funny to leave our haven, eh?
Things up and over here are waking up, the colors lightening and so many scents in the air.  Today I laid on the beach with my sweetie and a box of sweet peppers.  It's still pretty cold, but we can pretend spring is here.

Oh, pals, sweet dreams,

If you can guess, I've been studying patterns in nature, and how they can be used in permaculture. For example, a spiral is a useful way to compact a lot into a tight space. So, if you have a tiny backyard in an urban setting, you can increase your growing surface by making an herb spiral.
